On Saturday, February 21st, Westside is hosting a program that is being presented by Tennessee Unitarian Universalist Community Action Network (TUUCAN). Much thanks to Westside for hosting!
See our newsletter to register for the TUUCAN safety program. Registration deadline is Wednesday, February 18th. Zoom option is available.
The program will provide information about three key areas- protest safety, digital safety, and congregational safety.
We will gather at 9:30 AM ET for coffee and conversation. Coffee with friends is an awesome way to reinforce community. We are stronger together.
The program will begin at 10:00 AM ET. Rev. Carol will start us off with a spiritual grounding. These discussions can be emotional, and spiritual grounding is a great way to focus and reduce stress.

Following our spiritual grounding, we will break into groups to discuss what risk means to us. Those joining us virtually will also have break out Zoom groups for this discussion. We'll come back together to continue those conversations until we break for lunch (12:00 PM ET).
Lunch will be potluck with all items labeled for ingredients. Everyone planning to attend in person is encouraged to provide dietary needs when completing the registration form.
The safety presentations will begin after lunch (12:45-3:00 PM ET) and will include plenty of time for questions and answers.
This program is designed for engagement; active interaction is encouraged. This is one of many ways we build stronger community connections and realize the power of our voices.
Please join us at Westside UUC for this meaningful program. This will be the foundation on which similar programs will be built.
