Westside has so much going on this fall. It’s getting exciting to see the planning of previous months finally starting to bloom. I’ve harvested and gathered the various events into one document, our “Congregational Calendar,’ that you can find with the Orders of Service with the Greeters and on our bulletin boards. I’ll talk up a few of the more immediate events and just be sure to watch the newsletter and website for more information on future events.
This Sunday, Sept. 16, is our monthly 3rd Sunday Potluck. Be sure to bring a dish to share and feel free to get creative with your offering and reflect the foods that are available at this time of year! Also, please remember that our Potluck set up and clean up rotates through the alphabet, so this month’s potluck helpers are those members whose last names begin with S-Z. Of course, everyone is invited to help set up and clean up, so feel free to pitch in even if it’s not your month.
Westside’s Opportunity Fair will be held on Sunday, September 23 in the sanctuary after the service. This is your chance to get to know better what each social group, like the book club, and committee offers you as a member of Westside and what it does for our church community. So stay after the service, grab your cup of coffee and peruse the tables to learn more about what goes on at Westside
Sunday, September 30, from 4-7, Foothills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will host Rev. Laura Bogle’s installation and the Cluster Picnic. The picnic is a potluck, so plan to bring a dish to share. Pistol Creek Catch of the Day will be the musical entertainment for the evening, and it is going to be an extra fun and festive picnic in celebration of a great milestone in our cluster.
